Hidden safe of "The King of cocaine" found

Do you remember Pablo Escobar? He was a notorious Colombian drug lord popularly known as "The king of cocaine" because he was reported to have supplied an estimated 80% of all the cocaine smuggled into the United States in the 1980s. By the early 1990s he was known to be the richest criminal in history with an estimated known net worth of US$30 billion and approximately US$100 billion when including the money he had buried in different places in Colombia.

Pablo Escobar's waterfront pink mansion in Miami, Florida and many of his properties were seized by the US government in 1987. See the pictures below.

Christian De Berdouare finally bought this pink mansion for US$9.65million in 2014 from a private owner who originally acquired it from the US government.

De Berdouare (above with his pet) wants to build a more modern home on this site, so he decides to demolish the old mansion that sat abandoned for years. Before embarking on the demolition he had hired professional treasure hunters to comb through the old mansion for traces from Escobar's extravagant days.

Journalist Jennifer Valoppi (De Berdouare's wife) said demolition began Tuesday on the mansion of roughly about 6,500 square feet. She also added that a safe (in the pix below) was found along with unusual holes in the floors and walls.

The couple plan to open the safe later today.

What a man can do, animals can do even better

If you are not an animal lover you may not know that animals also take deep sleep like we do. Sleep occurs naturally in all animals as it does in humans. It is characterized by reduced interaction with surroundings, inhibition of nearly all voluntary muscles, relative inhibition of sensory activity plus altered consciousness.
When animals are in deep sleep they do not interact with their surroundings but they can still respond to loud noises and other salient sensory events (1).
